Tatry are the highest mountains in Poland with the highest peak Rysy reaching 2,500m. This trip I did with my
sister and her friend Karina in the summer of 2003. One of the great thing about those mountains are hostels
operated by the national park service. They are located all around the mountains which means you don't
need to carry a tent as you can just sleep in the hostels along your way. There's plenty of trails to choose
from and they are well marked and well maintained. We did a 4 day loop around the most popular part of the
mountains. Starting in Zakopane through Giewont, Kasprowy, Hala Gasienicowa, Valley of Five Lakes to
Morskie Oko, and than back to Zakopane on a bus.
